CTO Health Services in partnership with HC is offering a FREE Community Health Worker (CHW) Training COURSE!

LOCATION
Classroom Portion (168 hrs): Virtual through Zoom
Practicum Portion (40 hours): In-person (more info below)
CHW graduates helps underserved communities improve their health outcomes through advocacy, outreach, informal counseling, referrals to health services and much more.
Graduates are officially recognized by the Maryland Department of Health as a certified CHW.
This is a 15 week class that begins on March 20th, 2023.
Location
Classroom portion (168 hours): Virtual through Zoom
Practicum portion (40 hours): In-person at several different sites throughout PG and Montgomery County
Requirements
– Valid Work Permission
– Proof of Residency in PG County*
– Complete a Pre-Course Interview with the Program Director
– Basic Zoom and Google App skills
*Proof must be: valid MD
license with PG address, utilities with the participant’s name and PG address or rent agr.
*Scholarships available for Non-PG County residents.
